When Dr. Matthew Carroll and his wife Dottie relocate to Denver, Breanna Baylor happily welcomes her sister’s family to her hometown. She also befriends Stefanie Andrews, a lonely young nurse who has come to help the Carrolls and Breanna establish Denver’s new Mile High Hospital.

Although Stefanie enjoys her inclusion into the close-knit family, she continues to nurse emotional wounds from her childhood. Yet Denver holds new beginnings–and danger–for the young woman of faith as she confronts the father who once left her and meets a brave hero who just might be the man of her dreams.
