John Heckencamp is a student at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. By a strange twist of fate he goes to Daytona Beach for spring break and finds out about a beautiful redheaded young lady from Kiev, Ukraine, named Julie. All of a sudden his world is changed when he decides that he must meet Julie and see if she is that special person he can spend the rest of his life with. John has conflicts with the way life is, his personal emotions, doubts from his friends, and doubts from his family back in Quincy, Illinois. Will John and Julie find love?
